Purpose of the activity

Students of the Feng Chia University School of Business and School of Finance study basic subjects such as Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management, with the purpose of helping students gain access to various basic professional knowledge in business, and understand the current enterprise, industry and international development trends and hot topics. After studying relevant basic professional subjects, teachers will guide students to participate in competitions, and promote students' learning, communication and cooperation during the competition process, cultivate students' cross-curricular and cross-field integration abilities and basic problem-solving abilities.

The goal of the English as a Medium of Instruction program is to provide students with opportunities to be exposed to the English environment through English teaching, and to cultivate international vision and global competitiveness.

Through this competition, we can achieve first place, promote students' multi-party learning, communication and cooperation, and cultivate students' team communication and expression skills. Second, this competition provides an interactive platform for cross-field cooperation to cultivate students' cross-curricular and cross-field integration capabilities and basic problem-solving abilities. Third, students participating in the competition can apply what they have learned to various industries, gain a better understanding of industry conditions, and strengthen their data analysis and problem-solving abilities through relevant data analysis. Fourth, through this competition, cooperative learning, problem-based learning, topic-based learning and other methods will serve as the basis for future advanced professional courses and cross-field innovative learning, and become a solid backing for Feng Chia University’s CDIO courses.

Competition mode

Combine accounting information, economic factors, statistical methods, management thinking, marketing management and financial management to conduct data analysis, think about and develop a business plan. The competition is divided into two groups, namely the EMI group and the Chinese group. This competition is divided into four sessions. The shortlisted groups will give oral presentations on the day of the competition. Four sessions will be held simultaneously, and we will select the top three, the Excellence Award and the Honorable Mention Award in each session.

【Model】

The shortlist will be announced on 5/24 (Friday) and the final files will be uploaded before 5/29 (Wednesday). Oral reports will be given and awards will be given on the day of the competition.

【Eligibility】

1. There are students taking general subjects (economics, statistics, accounting, management, marketing management and financial management) in the 112th academic year.

2. Freshman and sophomore students taking EMI courses.

3. Each team consists of 3-8 students and needs an instructor.

【Competition Stage】

This competition will be divided into two groups, namely the EMI group and the Chinese group, with the main theme being "Entrepreneurship". Participating teams need to produce a PPT report and an A1 poster.

Competition report format:

  1. The number of team members in each group is 3-8. During the competition stage, reports will be given in four classrooms. The top three, Merit Award and Honorable Mention Award in each classroom will be selected. The number and order of the finals will be determined by drawing lots.
  2. There is no limit on the number of pages of the report (but the report is limited to 15 minutes).
  3. Oral reports and awards will be given on the day.
  4. Please avoid the name of the instructor appearing on the competition homepage and content.
  5. The report content should include:

(3) Entrepreneurship content

(4) Entrepreneurial Structure

(5) Conclusion

Participation Methods

  1. Eligibility: The freshman and sophomore in the 112th academic year who are taking Fundamental course (Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management), or taking EMI courses.
  2. Number of participants: 3-8 students per team (include a group leader). Team members are not allowed to be changed without permission.
  3. Instructor: Each group needs to find an instructor.

Prize money for each session:

* EMI group

First Prize: Each group receives NT$15,000. Each contestant receives a certificate of award.

Second Prize: Each group receives NT$12,000. Each contestant receives a certificate of award.

Third Prize: Each group receives NT$1,000. Each contestant receives a certificate of award.

Excellence Award (5 group): Each group receives NT$5,000. Each contestant receives a certificate of award.

Honorable Mention Award (5 group): Each contestant receives a certificate of award.

Precautions

  1. By signing up to participate in this event, you agree to accept the rules and precautions of this event. Participants guarantee that all information filled in or submitted is true and correct. Under the principle of fairness, team members are not allowed to be changed at will without the consent of the organizer. If there is any violation, the organizer may disqualify the person from participating or winning the prize.
  2. If this event cannot be performed due to special force majeure reasons, the organizer and co-organizers have the right to decide to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this event.
  3. The graphics, texts, photos, videos and other materials provided in the entries will be provided to the organizer and co-organizers. Participants must agree to the following matters:
  • The participating teams guarantee that the graphics, texts, photos, videos and other materials provided for this event do not infringe the rights of others or violate laws.
  • If there is any risk of violation, the organizer and co-organizers may immediately remove the relevant content and cancel the qualifications to participate and win the prize. Participants shall bear relevant legal responsibilities themselves.
  • The organizer and co-organizers have the right to review the graphics, texts, photos, videos and other materials provided by the contestants. If they do not meet the requirements of this event, they may be disqualified from participating and winning the prize.
  • The participating teams agree to authorize the organizer or co-organizer to take pictures and videos during this event, or ask the participating teams to provide relevant photos or dynamic images for the purpose of recording, promoting and marketing this event, and may publish them in any form photos or moving images of the competition.
  • The intellectual property rights of each team’s entries belong to the members of the participating team. The participating teams should handle the application or registration procedures related to their rights on their own. For winning entries, the participating team agrees to authorize the organizer or co-organizer to use them for recording, promotion, and marketing of this event or related activities.
  • Winners of each award in this event must submit relevant fund write-off documents. If there are any incomplete, incorrect or fake documents, the organizer has the right to cancel the award.
  • The participating team agrees that the organizer and co-organizers will use the personal information filled in by the participants within the specified scope, including handling the event’s award-winner contact matters, event analysis, or statements on other event webpages.
  • The prizes for this event are subject to the event regulations announced by the organizer and co-organizers. If there is no suitable winning work for each award, the award will be filled.
